North American Wind Energy Academy/WindTech 2021 Conference

The North American Wind Energy Academy (NAWEA)/WindTech 2021 Conference will be in person and interactive. While no one can guarantee that travel and large conferences will be allowable by September, organizers are committed to an in-person conference. Options for virtual attendance and webinars of the plenary presentations at a reduced registration fee are being investigated to augment the in-person event and maximize access. If the conference needs to be delayed to meet the objective of an in-person conference, organizers will make that announcement as soon as possible.

The 2021 theme of the conference centers on a future where high levels of wind energy deployment meets the needs of a grid dominated by renewables. The conference will feature the latest research to integrate wind with solar, storage, and other renewables into the complex and highly interdependent energy system of the future. Organizers are partnering with the Electric Systems Integration Group to create a meaningful exchange and educational opportunity. As with the 2019 conference, there will be special emphasis on the social and environmental aspects of wind energy development.
