Northeast Wind Resource Center Launches Series of Wind Report Summaries
Jan. 4, 2017
The Northeast Wind Resource Center launched a series of wind report summaries to provide accessible, concise briefs of technical studies relevant to wind energy in the Northeast. The first two report summaries focus on wind turbine sound:
- Understanding the Evidence: Wind Turbine Noise, a 2015 report by the Council of Canadian Academies' Expert Panel on Wind Turbine Noise
- Massachusetts Study on Wind Turbine Acoustics, a 2016 report produced by RSG, Epsilon Associates, and Northeast Wind for the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
If you have suggestions for other studies that should be summarized, please send them to LBWStaff@northeastwindcenter.org. The Energy Department provides funding support for the Northeast Wind Resource Center.
