Energy Department Recounts Milestones on the Road to the Wind Vision

March 14, 2017

March marks the 2-year anniversary of the U.S. Department of Energy's Wind Vision report that quantifies the economic, environmental, and social benefits of a wind energy future if U.S. wind power supplied up to 35% of the nation's electrical demand by 2050. The Wind Vision outlines a roadmap for growing the wind industry that could support more than 600,000 jobs in manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and supporting services. Wind Energy Technologies Office Director Jose Zayas recently recounted examples of the progress made toward this roadmap in just 2 short years.
