Study Assesses Massachusetts Ports for Private Investment by Offshore Wind Industry

May 31, 2017

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) released Phase One findings from its Massachusetts Offshore Wind Ports & Infrastructure Assessment. MassCEC has identified a number of waterfront properties in Massachusetts that could be acquired and potentially improved through private investment to become suitable facilities for a number of offshore wind activities. Phase One: Existing Conditions Report provides detailed property information to inform offshore wind industry stakeholders when selecting sites to manufacture, stage, and service offshore wind components for the offshore wind market in Massachusetts and along the East Coast. Phase Two, the final ports assessment, will be released this summer.
