Offshore Wind Energy Workshop for Teachers
The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory is sponsoring a FREE, in-person National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project workshop in December 2024 in California, which will provide teachers of grades 6-12, CTE, and afterschool programs with professional development and curriculum materials on the topic of offshore wind energy. Register now to join the workshop for networking, training, meals included, and substitute reimbursement!
The NEED Project designs and delivers teacher-tested educational materials, evaluation techniques and tools, recognition of student achievement, and professional development for educators. NEED materials and training programs provide comprehensive, objective information about the scientific concepts of energy and the sources of energy, including their use and their impact on the environment, the economy and society.
