Land-Based Wind Workforce Network: December Meeting
Please join the quarterly convening of the Land-Based Wind Workforce Network, an interactive, member-driven forum for those interested in land-based wind workforce development to network, share learnings, and co-develop solutions to the industry’s most pressing needs. The network includes members of academic institutions, training centers, industry, local, state, and federal government, labor unions, community-based organizations, and others, though anyone interested in this topic is welcome to join.
The agenda for this meeting includes two interactive panel discussions on the key challenges and opportunities in developing a robust land-based wind workforce, from both an industry perspective and an education and training program perspective:
- Recruiting Goals and Challenges (Industry Panel): What roles and skillsets are most needed in the wind industry, and what challenges are companies facing in recruiting to meet those needs?
- Designing Wind Energy Programs (Education and Training Program Panel): Why are students and educational institutions interested in wind-specific programs, and what factors do educational institutions consider when designing these programs?
