Turbines Propel Nebraska Past a Wind Energy Milestone
May 3, 2017
The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Nebraska is the eighteenth state to achieve 1 gigawatt of wind generating capacity. The state is home to strong wind resources but has lagged behind other states, such as neighboring Iowa, in developing those resources. David Bracht, director of the Nebraska Energy Office, is optimistic about attracting future development. "We have more of our very best wind left to develop," he said.
