Missouri Utility to Invest $1 Billion in Renewable Energy

Amaren Missouri announced it will dramatically increase its wind and solar generation to provide cost-effective, renewable energy for its customers, including a $1 billion investment of 700 megawatts of wind generation by 2020. According to Amaren, the new wind generation is expected to be located in Missouri and neighboring states and will utilize American-made turbines. The source, location, and cost of the new wind generation is still under negotiation with developers.
