General Motors to Purchase 200 Megawatts of Wind Energy

General Motors (GM) announced that it will meet the electricity needs of all of its Ohio and Indiana manufacturing facilities with 100% renewable energy. GM is buying 200 megawatts of wind energy from Ohio and Illinois wind farms; when the turbines come online at the end of 2018, renewable energy will power 20% of GM’s global electricity use.
