New Bedford, Massachusetts Prepares for the Offshore Wind Industry

Rhode Island Public Radio reported on the Massachusetts port city of New Bedford and its efforts to position itself to service the offshore wind industry. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that wind turbine service technicians are projected to be the second fastest-growing occupation between 2016 and 2026, and New Bedford officials plan to become a hub for jobs like these and other work related to offshore wind.
