Texas is home to more installed wind capacity than any other state. Could Texas also be home to offshore wind turbines located in Gulf Coast waters? Houston Matters interviewed Liz Burdock of the Business Network for Offshore Wind and Charles McConnell of the Rice University Energy and Environment Initiative to discuss offshore wind energy, the differences between land-based and offshore wind farms, and whether offshore wind farms could be sited off the Gulf Coast region.
