With the approval of a 10th offshore wind power project in Maryland's Atlantic waters, the U.S. Department of the Interior has now approved 15 gigawatts of capacity, which could power over 5 million American homes and amounts to half of President Biden's goal for 30 gigawatts of installed offshore wind energy capacity by 2030.
