The call, issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, invites public feedback on possible commercial wind energy development in areas off the coasts of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. If you're interested in contributing, (review the list of meetings)[https://www.boem.gov/renewable-energy/state-activities/central-atlantic-2-public-meetings] you can join in September and October 2024.

This call represents the beginning of a process like the one that led to the first offshore wind lease in the Central Atlantic (the fifth approved by the Biden-Harris administration) in August 2024.
