IRENA Publishes Annual Renewable Energy and Jobs Review
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) published Renewable Energy and Jobs Annual Review 2017, a report on the status of renewable energy employment, by technology and in selected countries, over the past year. IRENA reports that renewable energy employed 9.8 million people around the world in 2016, with wind installations in the United States, Germany, India, and Brazil contributing to a total of 1.2 million jobs in the global wind energy sector. |
