Approximately 100 members of Wind Powering America's network attended the 11th Annual All-States Summit with an additional 53 attending via webinar. The Summit, which followed the annual WINDPOWER Conference and Exhibition, provided state Wind Working Groups, state energy officials, U.S. Energy Department and national laboratory representatives, and professional and institutional partners an opportunity to review successes, opportunities, and challenges for wind energy and plan future collaboration.

The Summit featured plenary sessions, a marketing strategies breakout, and smaller group discussions on focused issues, as well as presentations and remarks from invited national guest speakers.

Due to the uncertainty around the Production Tax Credit extension and pressure on state Renewable Portfolio Standards, this Summit focused on additional methods for states to expand wind markets. Speakers provided a national overview of the wind market from several angles, including cost, policy, and interplay with natural gas markets. A panel session then addressed alternative methodologies to accelerate wind development in the light of the current market constraints.
